Zabulón Carabajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zabulón Carabajal came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zabulón Carabajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zabulón Carabajal. FC Klavertje Vier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Celedonio Kemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Van Kestbeek came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Celedonio Kemen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Klavertje Vier's goalkeeper Zabulón Carabajal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Kemen in the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 29th minute. The long shot by Iwan Marchefka in the 30th minute really tested Dante Lacasa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zabulón Carabajal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Klavertje Vier's Zabulón Carabajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 42nd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 54 minutes FC Klavertje Vier's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zabulón Carabajal quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Zabulón Carabajal in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joery Hylen in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes in the game, Joery Hylen dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joery Hylen's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philipp Van Kestbeek in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. FC Klavertje Vier's Claude Montens was substituted for Joery Hylen. Claude Montens was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Zabulón Carabajal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Georges-Philippe Jooris kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Lars Lecointre hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 73 played minutes FC Klavertje Vier got a freekick which was hit by Lars Lecointre. 76 minutes into the match, FC Klavertje Vier's goalkeeper Zabulón Carabajal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Joos Horemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Joel Gaona fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Claude Montens hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to FC Klavertje Vier getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Celedonio Kemen hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Montens in the 96th minute of play. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
