The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. Edmundo Espiga made a great header on Honduras's corner, it was just that SSC Napoli's Sakarias Bocklund managed to reach the ball for a save. After 63 played minutes SSC Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Clovis Christiaens. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sakarias Bocklund saved SSC Napoli from getting behind. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clark Reuterwall in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manny Gol in the 73rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SSC Napoli's Walter Lindholm was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Orvar Nykvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SSC Napoli.
