Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 傅希森 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 15 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 傅希森 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by 苏升骋 in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chants of 宁夏足球未来希望之星 echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
