Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adelino Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino Macedo. América-SC F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Adelino Macedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camilo Franco went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Adelino Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 87th minute. Camilo Franco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Adelino Macedo made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Paulo Antunes in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Jorge Sainz with Camilo Franco as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adelino Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
