The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. After 20 minutes of play, Miradeses FC's Morris Zemp made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Hilário Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miradeses FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilário Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Coates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Honduras booed when Miradeses FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morris Zemp didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Miradeses FC's Morris Zemp in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. Miradeses FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play forced Miradeses FC's goalkeeper Peter Sparks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Stefan Kapera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morris Zemp in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute Miradeses FC were awarded a corner. Jerónimo Pais went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Sparks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 57th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Morris Zemp dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro, 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Sparks saved Miradeses FC from getting behind. Peter Sparks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Miradeses FC's Hilário Meira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 0-9 after 79 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Morris Zemp in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miradeses FC made a substitution. Júlio Durães replaced Almiro Amaro. In the 87th minute Miradeses FC were awarded a corner. Jerónimo Pais went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which André Lousada managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Sparks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Peter Sparks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras.
