Avel Vat's Danny Pasquier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. When Geoffrey Estienne fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avel Vat's protests and gave Geoffrey Estienne a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Avel Vat getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Geoffrey Estienne hit a great ball. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Youri Djorkaeff's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 38 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Geoffrey Estienne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-2 after 45 minutes of play.

With his leg Danny Pasquier managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sébastien Milliot made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Youri Djorkaeff however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoffrey Estienne in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Minier came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Youri Djorkaeff who took care of the corner kick. Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danny Pasquier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Patricio Costa off the ground. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
