But to his dismay, Behzat Altuncuoğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 37 minutes into the match, Behzat Altuncuoğlu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gaudencio Jerrald in the 43 minute of the game. Kevin Zapatero hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. MaviAteşSK's Isidoro Gelmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save MaviAteşSK from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Behzat Altuncuoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 73rd minute of play forced MaviAteşSK's goalkeeper Isidoro Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The MaviAteşSK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
