Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Pombal in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Falcão Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Pombal in the 23rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF's Ulysses Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wesley Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF's protests and gave Wesley Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Galvão was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alan Moruga. After 44 played minutes 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Arce. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Abraão in the 46th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wesley Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Galvão having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Ulysses Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Ulysses Abraão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute, Wesley Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ulysses Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Abraão couldn't finish the play. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugo Ferrant made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF's Júlio Arce. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses Abraão got free with Benito Sanz in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Costa Rica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF's performance. The match ended with a win for 〇乙ᗩᖇḰ ᗰ乙ᑕ - FDFDF.
