AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xande Sharkin in the 9th minute of play. When Walmyr Salles came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AVAÍ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Salles couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Czornomaz in the 16th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Qiao Ang Le got free with Jailson Teles in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Czornomaz came free, but Jailson Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Xande Sharkin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles did a great save. With a little luck, AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles got control of the ball when Paulo José Barral tried to sneak it across the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmyr Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Walmyr Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Umberto Cunha. Pégasus F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Gjøran Sætre kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Tarcisio Chaves replaced Luiz Pombal. Pégasus F. C.'s Gilberto Soeiro was substituted for Xande Sharkin. Pégasus F. C.'s Samuca Tepedino was substituted for Paulo José Barral. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when Pégasus F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gjøran Sætre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Groll's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jailson Teles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alex Sági fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gilberto Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute Gilberto Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Groll's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jailson Teles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Walmyr Salles could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Umberto Cunha however easily saved by the left post. In the 93rd minute Adrian Czornomaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pégasus F. C. were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after AVAÍ F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Soeiro took the corner. Gilberto Soeiro made a great header on Pégasus F. C.'s corner, it was just that AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles managed to reach the ball for a save. The AVAÍ F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AVAÍ F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
