After 42 minutes of play, FC Shifen III's Jacinto Cesario made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, FC Shifen III's Jacinto Cesario ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Cesario to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Martin Fossum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Shifen III's Freddy Dimo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jacinto Cesario scored 5-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to FC Shifen III getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Freddy Dimo hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Godholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Shifen III could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
