Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Lesiecki in the 75th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Lesiecki in the 78th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Lesiecki in the 81st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ziemowit Kochniarczyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kryspin Lesiecki hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kryspin Lesiecki, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
