The crowd rose to their feet as Amir Lee kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Amir Lee sent off a good shot on target. After 36 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 37 minutes into the match, Cascade Park West's Waldo Renteria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amir Lee got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Jamar Orlinsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Wilhelm skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
