Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Del Vecchio during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Palestra14 getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Dennis Del Vecchio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attilio Torelli kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Palestra14's Dennis Del Vecchio got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 15 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frits Heinel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Fioriti in the 20th minute of play. Frits Heinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cain Vieri in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cain Vieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Palestra14 got a freekick which was hit by Nino Sócrates. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Heinel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cain Vieri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nino Sócrates hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes Palestra14 got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Del Vecchio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Frits Heinel in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cain Vieri came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Palestra14 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cain Vieri couldn't finish the play. Frits Heinel was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Luis Andino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Andino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. 80 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Frits Heinel, 0-2. When Dennis Del Vecchio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Palestra14 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Del Vecchio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frits Heinel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frits Heinel. That made the score 0-3 after 93 minutes of play.
