Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kahlil Cahyadi in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rüknettin Toygar in the 18th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Cahya Latuconsina in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Putut Manoppo went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Putut Manoppo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vural Nazım hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 9 Lurah's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cahya Latuconsina came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kahlil Cahyadi in the 36th minute of play. Cahya Latuconsina made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 45th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Putut Manoppo in the 45th minute of play. After the first half 9 Lurah were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rüknettin Toygar was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Kahlil Cahyadi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 0-2. If Rüknettin Toygar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Cahya Latuconsina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of play. Cahya Latuconsina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cahya Latuconsina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cahya Latuconsina having to make a save. 9 Lurah's Hadi Zamani was substituted for Rüknettin Toygar. 9 Lurah made a substitution. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hadi Zamani in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when 9 Lurah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vural Nazım didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to 9 Lurah getting a freekick after 91 minutes play.
