With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yao Bin Yun saved Fundação Marques dos Reis from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Andreas Maxsø in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. 23 minutes into the game, Taras Romanchuk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute, Colombia's Kevin Mastache dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 35 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yao Bin Yun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Taras Romanchuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taras Romanchuk to make the kick off. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taras Romanchuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yao Bin Yun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Yao Bin Yun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Abram Secada scored 3-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yao Bin Yun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juninho Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Yao Bin Yun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Carballar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Fundação Marques dos Reis's Taras Romanchuk. But to his dismay, Taras Romanchuk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Yao Bin Yun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Colombia failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
