In the 19th minute 唐桑镇 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by 温洲皓 in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. 温洲皓's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 温洲皓 helped the player get up and apologised. 温洲皓 kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 方天坚 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 53rd minute of play. 林誉博 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 林誉博 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 方天坚 made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. Frane Ležaić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute.
