With a left leg Sebastián Sosa saved Vikingos FC from getting behind. 10 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastián Sosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Vikingos FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. After 27 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. 28 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimiro Lauro. Vikingos FC's Marek Torm quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Milagros Fraga, made in the 30th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa. Sebastián Sosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 34 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Marek Torm. Vladimiro Lauro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Rolando Noboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marek Torm hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Prats in the 40th minute of the match. Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 45th minute of play. A collision led to Vikingos FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Marek Torm hit a great ball. Vikingos FC made a substitution. Ladislao Erramu replaced Roque Vito. In the 48th match minute, Vikingos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Torm to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 85 minutes of play, Vikingos FC's Marek Torm made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 89th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastián Sosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 93rd minute. Peru played a much better game than Vikingos FC and deserved their victory. The Vikingos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
