Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ruperto Bide received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Ruperto Bide slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ruperto Bide sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute Muhittin Tuyuğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 34th minute of play forced Gunners's goalkeeper Cipriano Urbasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Eneko Lillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Bide got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruperto Bide went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Bide in the 55th minute of play. When Muhittin Tuyuğ fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunners's protests and gave Muhittin Tuyuğ a yellow card for diving instead. Panama's Oscar Laguna was substituted for Alex Cambeiro. After 57 played minutes Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Muhittin Tuyuğ. After 60 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Eneko Lillo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Cipriano Urbasa threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Abraham Alguacil this time. 67 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Bide came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Bide in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gunners defense, Tomas Berganza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cipriano Urbasa. The Gunners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cipriano Urbasa should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Bide came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 76th minute of play. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Urbasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Mingo in the 82nd minute of play. Eulalio Sadurni hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gunners fully deserved thier win.
