Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dave Rinaldi. Dave Rinaldi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Dave Rinaldi in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Agnel came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Minaud's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabien Cantin, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Orlando Casaus got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dave Rinaldi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 47 minutes into the game, Fabien Cantin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bryan Krafft helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Bryan Krafft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Lacasa scored 3-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave Rinaldi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Rinaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 79th minute of the match. Christian Minaud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Thierry Agnel might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thierry Agnel ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Thierry Agnel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 88th minute of play forced Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Dave Rinaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Rinaldi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Stéphane Gaudy hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Chile were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Elegance Dijon for a fine match.
