Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Artemio Bernal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pikanate Savetvet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the game, Thosapol Laksanapiya threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Edmundo Espiga sped through Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pikanate Savetvet. After a rather tough play, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Thosapol Laksanapiya got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Domenec Cediel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 1-1. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Bernal in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Natawoot Sikapan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Natawoot Sikapan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 32nd minute of play forced Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's goalkeeper Pikanate Savetvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Thosapol Laksanapiya in the 35 minute of the game. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Pikanate Savetvet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute of play. Wachirawit Kongpetch struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri. When Wachirawit Kongpetch fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's protests and gave Wachirawit Kongpetch a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri got a freekick which was hit by Wachirawit Kongpetch. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pikanate Savetvet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pikanate Savetvet having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Wachirawit Kongpetch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wachirawit Kongpetch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Artemio Bernal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Pikanate Savetvet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 64thth minute of the game Sebastian Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Pikanate Savetvet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Sirikiat Waiyarup made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Natawoot Sikapan got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 71st minute, Natawoot Sikapan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Natawoot Sikapan hit a great ball. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Edmundo Espiga scored to the left of an out of position Pikanate Savetvet, making the score, 3-4. After 84 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenec Cediel in the 85th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Pikanate Savetvet made a huge save. Wachirawit Kongpetch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenec Cediel in the 91st minute of play. Honduras played a much better game than Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri and deserved their victory. The Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
