Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Hylander in the 8th minute of play. The Victoria fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Victoria's Emanuel Avellino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Fabian Testaferrata Abela fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Victoria's protests and gave Fabian Testaferrata Abela a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Fabian Testaferrata Abela got a free kick in the 15th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Testaferrata Abela, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Avellino came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Hylander took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Stephan Blanco hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 34 minutes of play, Victoria's Fredrik Hylander made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, Fabian Testaferrata Abela notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute of the match Hugo Ferrant shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Cauchi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Costa Rica were furious when Abel Carballo was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Testaferrata Abela got free with Benito Sanz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Fredrik Hylander scored 0-6 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Emanuel Avellino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Victoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Avellino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Janusz Duda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 0-7. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Fabian Testaferrata Abela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Fabian Testaferrata Abela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Janusz Duda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 79th play minutes Emanuel Avellino shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. 83 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Testaferrata Abela. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Emanuel Avellino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. 89 minutes into the game, Dennis Flask cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victoria's Fredrik Hylander got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Victoria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
