With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philipp Van Kestbeek in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zabulón Carabajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zabulón Carabajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Zabulón Carabajal in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Klavertje Vier's Zabulón Carabajal got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Van Kestbeek came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zabulón Carabajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, FC Klavertje Vier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iwan Marchefka to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Klavertje Vier's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zabulón Carabajal came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in FC Klavertje Vier's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zabulón Carabajal came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Kemen in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Klavertje Vier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joery Hylen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Klavertje Vier getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Georges-Philippe Jooris hit a great ball. FC Klavertje Vier's Pierre Gebuers was substituted for Iwan Marchefka. After 78 played minutes FC Klavertje Vier got a freekick which was hit by Georges-Philippe Jooris. 81 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Klavertje Vier's Zabulón Carabajal. Zabulón Carabajal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Klavertje Vier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes FC Klavertje Vier got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Gebuers. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mexico fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Klavertje Vier had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
