Abdellah Medjadi Guessoum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Friedrich Engels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Friedrich Engels came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the GoooooooooooooooooooooooL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Friedrich Engels couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. Friedrich Engels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Abdellah Medjadi Guessoum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
