After a defensive mix-up in UFC Pivnica's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislav Lomnický came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Viktor Kasarda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ladislav Lomnický made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Viktor Kasarda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Pivnica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After a rather tough play, UFC Pivnica's Viktor Kasarda got a free kick in the 14th minute. Ladislav Lomnický took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by UFC Pivnica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ladislav Lomnický quite easily take care of the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. UFC Pivnica's Ladislav Lomnický played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play forced UFC Pivnica's goalkeeper Ladislav Lomnický to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After having played for 44 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 55th minute. A collision led to UFC Pivnica getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Viktor Kasarda hit a great ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Lomnický having to interfere. Ladislav Lomnický showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, UFC Pivnica's goalkeeper Ladislav Lomnický had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Luque. Felix Luque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Ladislav Lomnický when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ladislav Lomnický. That made the score 0-2 in the 73 minute of play. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Pavol Rybnický ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 88th match minute, UFC Pivnica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Mišík to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ladislav Lomnický didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 92 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ladislav Lomnický narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UFC Pivnica throughout the match.
