Nils-Arne Nilsson replaced Artur Buba. 69 minutes into the match, Wargön's Ivar Siöberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sören Tunberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The supporters of Wargön booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Fraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Peru players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
