Abubakar Noach made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abubakar Noach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Ortzi in the 22nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Severino Casero made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa.
