A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Bruno Beldad hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Philipp Van Kestbeek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Philipp Van Kestbeek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 10 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. FC Klavertje Vier's Zabulón Carabajal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save FC Klavertje Vier from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Kemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Kemen in the 15th minute of play. Zabulón Carabajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Iwan Marchefka hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Francisco Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celedonio Kemen went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, FC Klavertje Vier's Lars Lecointre got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Zabulón Carabajal in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Iwan Marchefka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zabulón Carabajal but with some difficulty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joery Hylen in the 51st minute of play. Philipp Van Kestbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 66 played minutes FC Klavertje Vier got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Kemen. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Klavertje Vier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Zabulón Carabajal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Van Kestbeek in the 71st minute of play. FC Klavertje Vier made a substitution. Pierre Gebuers replaced Iwan Marchefka. Celedonio Kemen hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Claude Montens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Klavertje Vier's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claude Montens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philipp Van Kestbeek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philipp Van Kestbeek, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Philipp Van Kestbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Philipp Van Kestbeek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zabulón Carabajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 94th minute of the match. The FC Klavertje Vier supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Klavertje Vier would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
