Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ed Seinstra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berry Korevaar in the 9th minute of play. Felix Dijkstra's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Dijkstra helped the player get up and apologised. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Soer having to make a save. After 22 minutes, Govert Wilhelm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mosk and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Mosk got a freekick which was hit by Govert Wilhelm. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Seinstra in the 30th minute of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Soer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ivo Deijnen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. With his leg Martin Soer managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 45th minute. Mosk's Berend Coopman suffered a sore thigh after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mosk's Ted Winter was substituted for Berend Coopman. The supporters of Mosk booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ed Seinstra to make the kick off. Mosk's Steven Fransen got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Deijnen in the 69th minute of play. Govert Wilhelm made in the 71st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ed Seinstra. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Fransen in the 77th minute of the match. Martin Soer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Soer having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Deijnen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute of the match, Ed Seinstra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berry Korevaar in the 89th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
