After a rather tough play, De Keikoppers's Sem De Kelper got a free kick in the 6th minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The throw-in from Danny Emeleers in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Huveneers went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Sem De Kelper sent off a good shot on target. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Geert Smidts struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Keikoppers. Sem De Kelper who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. De Keikoppers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolf Huveneers in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Van Der Meren. Lionel Van Den Broek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Geert Smidts might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geert Smidts ran back to his position shaking his head. When Danny Emeleers fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Keikoppers's protests and gave Danny Emeleers a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of De Keikoppers booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Van Den Broek having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Van Der Meren came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wout Leroy fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Keikoppers's protests and gave Wout Leroy a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Lionel Van Den Broek in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lionel Van Den Broek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 76 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 84th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Huveneers in the 98th minute of play. There was no doubt that De Keikoppers were the better team. De Keikoppers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
