After 7 minutes of play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abarrotz Solera was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jose Carita hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Sinforoso Reyes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of play forced amando iglesias's goalkeeper Abarrotz Solera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Abraham Alguacil led 19 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. amando iglesias's Abarrotz Solera became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Gonzáles in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Nestor Gonzáles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. amando iglesias's Abarrotz Solera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, amando iglesias's Baudelio Zamora got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abarrotz Solera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Gonzáles came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, amando iglesias's Nestor Gonzáles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Abarrotz Solera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nestor Gonzáles to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sinforoso Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panama were furious when Felipe Ros was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Panama:s Marcos Cotilla showed great skill when he stopped Nestor Gonzáles:s penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aycan Hidayet during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes amando iglesias got a freekick which was hit by Aycan Hidayet. In the 68th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abarrotz Solera skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Isidoro Sarmiento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sinforoso Reyes in the 76th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abarrotz Solera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. amando iglesias's Abarrotz Solera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 82nd minute of play.
