Mario gool's Kryspin Oryniak got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Mosiniak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of the match. Kryspin Oryniak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Mosiniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Mosiniak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, CJ Robben hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mykyta Yaremenko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mario gool were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hugo Larsson took the corner. In the 32nd match minute, Mario gool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Przemyslaw Moryl to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Mosiniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Kryspin Oryniak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Mario gool's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Leon Mosiniak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Mosiniak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Leon Mosiniak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Leon Mosiniak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Mario gool's Kryspin Oryniak. But to his dismay, Kryspin Oryniak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario gool's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Larsson in the 58th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Leon Mosiniak made a huge save. Leon Mosiniak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of the match. Mario gool's Leon Mosiniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita managed to work through Mario gool's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Daniel Zorita dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Mosiniak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Mario gool's Zbyszko Kociniewski was substituted for Zenon Makomaski. The supporters of Mario gool booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Przemyslaw Moryl hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Mario gool's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Leon Mosiniak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kryspin Oryniak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
