Iwo Posadzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikael Valrot's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikael Valrot helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UÅ Mästerbotten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Iwo Posadzki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UÅ Mästerbotten's Karl-Magnus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Posadzki in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Iwo Posadzki made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. UÅ Mästerbotten's Karl-Magnus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Posadzki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwo Posadzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Karl-Magnus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With a little luck, UÅ Mästerbotten's Karl-Magnus Ekrot got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Posadzki in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Iwo Posadzki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UÅ Mästerbotten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iwo Posadzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Oskar Månsson charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Oskar Månsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Karl-Oskar Månsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Magnus Ekrot made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UÅ Mästerbotten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Klack didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Karl-Magnus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Magnus Ekrot came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Iwo Posadzki came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the UÅ Mästerbotten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwo Posadzki couldn't finish the play. When Eulalio Xabier fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UÅ Mästerbotten's protests and gave Eulalio Xabier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, UÅ Mästerbotten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Xabier to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador played a much better game than UÅ Mästerbotten and deserved their victory. The UÅ Mästerbotten players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
