When the match had gone on for 2 minutes, Per Örtendal put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Per Örtendal sent off a good shot on target. Torbjörn Stephansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per Örtendal in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per Örtendal in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Per Örtendal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24thth minute of the game Per Örtendal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Assyriska-Syrianska's Yngve Walmarsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute Jose Correa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Stephansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Rutger Grep sent off a good shot on target. Per Örtendal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute of play forced Assyriska-Syrianska's goalkeeper Torbjörn Stephansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Assyriska-Syrianska's Jonny Sjödin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the game, Per Örtendal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th match minute, Assyriska-Syrianska was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngve Walmarsson to maneuver through the defense. Torbjörn Stephansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 62nd minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Torbjörn Stephansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Ahlstedt came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Örtendal in the 70th minute of play. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Per Örtendal sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Sjödin in the 78th minute of play. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Per Örtendal sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 90thth minute of the game Per Örtendal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 93rd minute.
