Szentgotthárd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstanty Dzierwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adorján Angyal made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Konstanty Dzierwa however managed to control. József Sallói could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kornél Hajdú prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Szentgotthárd players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, József Sallói quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The Szentgotthárd fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Szentgotthárd's József Sallói looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kornél Hajdú took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bálint Battai made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kornél Hajdú tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Szentgotthárd's performance. The match ended with a win for Szentgotthárd.
