Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. After 5 minutes, Agustín Saelices mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Fuerzas Armadas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Fuerzas Armadas's Eufrasio Aranzubia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Fuerzas Armadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Buendia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oro Montes having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Fuerzas Armadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnin Acarreta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eufrasio Aranzubia got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xerardo Amer struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fuerzas Armadas. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 27 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oro Montes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinto Nobo in the 31st minute of the match. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oro Montes having to make a save. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oro Montes. Fuerzas Armadas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eufrasio Aranzubia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oro Montes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oro Montes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Fuerzas Armadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Bastida to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oro Montes having to interfere. Gustavo Buendia hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oro Montes having to make a save. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Oro Montes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Fuerzas Armadas's Oro Montes. Oro Montes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eufrasio Aranzubia in the 83rd minute of play. Xerardo Amer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinto Nobo in the 89th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Saturnin Acarreta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than Fuerzas Armadas and deserved their victory. The Fuerzas Armadas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
