Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atakan Bayar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Francisco Seco sped through F-E-D-A's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atakan Bayar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Atakan Bayar didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Aytunç Siyami hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Jaime Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atakan Bayar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 67th minute. Atakan Bayar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atakan Bayar made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Atakan Bayar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Seco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 93rd playminute.
