Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Overschie's Niek Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Overschie's goalkeeper Niek Kiewit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th match minute, Overschie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Rein Hindriks to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niek Kiewit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ruud Koning tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Niek Kiewit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Bueno in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niek Kiewit having to make a save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorn Krommert in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ruud Koning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Overschie defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niek Kiewit. The Overschie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niek Kiewit should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute, Ecuador's Felix Montes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felix Montes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Montes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Julio Vera had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Jan Rein Hindriks's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jorn Krommert struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Overschie. When Overschie's Roger Bueno in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Roger Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Jorn Krommert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Roger Bueno made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Niek Kiewit however easily saved by the left post. Niek Kiewit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Klaas de Vries was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Overschie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 58 played minutes Overschie got a freekick which was hit by Klaas de Vries. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorn Krommert, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Overschie's Niek Kiewit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Overschie from getting a goal against them. When Agustín Saelices fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Agustín Saelices a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Roger Bueno hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Roger Bueno sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Overschie's Niek Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Rein Hindriks, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Roger Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
