Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Jan Roos however easily saved by the left post. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jan Roos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skjöldur Viking blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Hakkas IF's Jan Roos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 35th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Saucedo in the 36th minute of play. Guillermo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jan Roos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. In the 45th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Dennis Bergkamp made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Roos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Roos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Skjöldur Viking, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Mats Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 68th minute of play forced Hakkas IF's goalkeeper Jan Roos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Roos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Jan Roos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 73rd minute of the match. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Hakkas IF's Skjöldur Viking got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Jonatan Sundling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Perry Van Mechelen in the 83rd minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Skjöldur Viking in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonatan Sundling was slow to take the kick. During this time Hakkas IF's players had a chance to rest. Jonatan Sundling made a great header on Hakkas IF's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Ralf Edström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chile's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
