Tobias Elizardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Tobias Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Elizardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of the match. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Luz Tejedor made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Elizardo. Sarmiento de Resistencia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dante Oton made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Man Tas however managed to control. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Herrero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute of the game Emmanuel Reyes made a throw-in which Milagros Fraga played forward. After some careless play in the Sarmiento de Resistencia defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Elizardo. The Sarmiento de Resistencia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Elizardo should have stopped the shot. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Tobias Elizardo made a huge save. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 77th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Alex Herrero put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Alonzo Peruxu was substituted for Bogumil Spychalski. 87 minutes into the match, Henning Martinsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henning Martinsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Tobias Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Eliseo Alcocer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Zinon Kazakopoulos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 94th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francis Sarmiento took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Sarmiento de Resistencia succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peru had controlled the match.
