Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sven-Olof Gummeson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 2nd minute of play. Bernt Kihlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes Mantorp's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Sven-Olof Gummeson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 30th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Luis Andino played forward. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Aaron Lundqvist sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mantorp's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Bernt Kihlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Bernt Kihlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Kihlberg in the 47th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Sven-Olof Gummeson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sven-Olof Gummeson. The goal made the score 0-3. After 62 minutes Mantorp's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson did a great save. In the 63rd minute Aaron Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billy Fågel during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Mantorp's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gummeson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Andino. Camilo Gisbert made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Kihlberg in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mantorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Wennerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Daniel Zorita shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson to catch but Daniel Zorita was lucky. It became 0-4 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
