Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) StraX Xenon FC's Jonas Hellqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mattias Olofsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mattias Olofsson. Mattias Olofsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torbjörn Brummer in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Jonas Hellqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Hellqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Brummer in the 29th minute of play. Joacim Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Olofsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Brummer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Olofsson having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Mattias Olofsson threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82nd play minute Joel Gaona came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mattias Olofsson. 1-2. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Sigvard Frykberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sigvard Frykberg ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
