The ŠK Horelica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Černoch should have stopped the shot. 5 minutes into the game, Luis Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ŠK Horelica the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play forced ŠK Horelica's goalkeeper Gabriel Černoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislav Hudek hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Gabriel Černoch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Černoch. ŠK Horelica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to ŠK Horelica getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Filip Seman hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on ŠK Horelica's corner Filip Seman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by ŠK Horelica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ibai Koldobika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, ŠK Horelica's Stanislav Hudek got a free kick in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Černoch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 41st minute of play forced ŠK Horelica's goalkeeper Gabriel Černoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Černoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita scored 0-4 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Černoch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ŠK Horelica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ibai Koldobika to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, ŠK Horelica's Filip Seman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led ŠK Horelica's Ibai Koldobika to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ondrej Poliovka in the 61st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Černoch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After 64 played minutes ŠK Horelica got a freekick which was hit by Filip Seman. Gabriel Černoch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Gabriel Černoch made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ibai Koldobika in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ŠK Horelica made a substitution. Sabino Monsanto replaced Wu Zhen. Gabriel Černoch was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Ondrej Poliovka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Agustín Saelices charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustín Saelices the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ŠK Horelica made a substitution. Qi Bing Zhi replaced Ondrej Poliovka. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ŠK Horelica's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Černoch came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ecuador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ecuador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
