After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Apolo Peto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacro Balompié's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Peto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Almiron in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Peto in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Miguel Almiron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14th minute of the match Sacro Balompié got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Almiron ran over to the corner to take the kick. Victorio Jax struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sacro Balompié. In the 22nd minute, Miguel Almiron made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 25 minutes into the game, one of El Salvador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Peto in the 30th minute of play. After 36th play minutes Miguel Almiron shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Ricardo Zorita and just under the crossbar into goal. After 38 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Bieito. El Salvador's attentive Valentino Ferrant managed to snatch the ball when Bonifacio Cedro made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Bonifacio Cedro made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aquiles Bieito immediately put the ball in play. Aquiles Bieito scored 0-5 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Miguel Almiron in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Matias Maties's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Abram Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sacro Balompié the free kick. Valentino Ferrant's late challenge caught a Sacro Balompié's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentino Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sacro Balompié booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58th play minutes Miguel Almiron shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Ricardo Zorita and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 65th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Victorio Jax rounded El Salvador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. In the 75th minute, Sacro Balompié's Miguel Almiron dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. After 80 minutes of play, Sacro Balompié's Matias Maties made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miguel Almiron received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Almiron slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 87th minute. Sacro Balompié's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
