Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Hugo Ferrant made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Puig immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the Olimpia HSB defense, Lautaro Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ksawery Wozniak. The Olimpia HSB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ksawery Wozniak should have stopped the shot. Olimpia HSB's Ksawery Wozniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 27th minute of play. Olimpia HSB's Borys Mentus quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juan Rubio, made in the 34th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the game, Juan Rubio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Olimpia HSB's Borys Mentus quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 38th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ksawery Wozniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Lucjan Orling made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Costa Rica's Ksawery Wozniak threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alan Moruga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 54 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lautaro Puig succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 63rd playminute. Ksawery Wozniak made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Juan Rubio sent off a good shot on target. Axel Tasiss short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Ksawery Wozniak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hugo Ferrant made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Olimpia HSB's Borys Mentus. Olimpia HSB's Ksawery Wozniak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpia HSB from getting a goal against them. Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Axel Tasis 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. 85 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ksawery Wozniak. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Ksawery Wozniak in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Costa Rica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Costa Rica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
