The crowd rose to their feet as SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Konrad De Winter kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 13th minute of play forced SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalkeeper Marco Silvestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Silvestri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes SPALLETTE RETURNS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marco Silvestri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Silvestri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Cosimo Laudadio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolando Noboa. The goal made the score 2-0. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Cosimo Laudadio sent off a good shot on target. Marco Silvestri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marco Silvestri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Bevilacqua in the 53rd minute of play. Marco Silvestri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Augusto Bevilacqua shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolando Noboa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SPALLETTE RETURNS reached it. In the 67th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Silvestri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Marco Silvestri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Augusto Bevilacqua got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Antonio Nero was substituted for Achille Tullio. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalkeeper Marco Silvestri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Augusto Bevilacqua got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SPALLETTE RETURNS were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
