Thomas Vollmar charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Vollmar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Thomas Vollmar hit a great ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kajetan Kochniarczyk in the 29th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Adam Pacholewski made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Erland got free with Dante Lacasa in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of the match. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. Mikolaj Jerzyk was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Pankracy Malicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
