An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 11th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Casaus to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Vollmar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Thiago Pliego skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mikolaj Jerzyk came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 30th minute of play. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. Newcastle United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Thomas Vollmar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Newcastle United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Vollmar was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Thomas Vollmar made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Chile's Mariano Lacasa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 68 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikolaj Jerzyk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 72nd minute of the match. Adam Pacholewski scored 2-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mikolaj Jerzyk acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Orlando Casaus. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
