Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Nuevo Horizonte's Baldomero Lapurdi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niceto Virila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the match, Nuevo Horizonte's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Niceto Virila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Honorio Aztore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Baldomero Lapurdi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14th minute of the match, Axel Tasis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Niceto Virila saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Niceto Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Nuevo Horizonte's Paulino Katia. But to his dismay, Paulino Katia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Katia, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baldomero Lapurdi's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 25th play minutes Baldomero Lapurdi shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Baldomero Lapurdi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nuevo Horizonte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 32nd minute Baldomero Lapurdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Katia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Guido Lucero kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Katia came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Nuevo Horizonte booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nuevo Horizonte's Baldomero Lapurdi in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 65 minutes of play, Nuevo Horizonte's Baldomero Lapurdi made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baldomero Lapurdi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Lapurdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paulino Katia fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nuevo Horizonte's protests and gave Paulino Katia a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Nuevo Horizonte's Paulino Katia got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute of the match, Baldomero Lapurdi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niceto Virila. Niceto Virila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Feliberto Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulino Katia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-6 in the 85 minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nuevo Horizonte the free kick. The supporters of Nuevo Horizonte booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Virila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-6. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Lapurdi in the 94th minute. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nuevo Horizonte were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
