Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) When Paulino Katia came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Nuevo Horizonte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Katia couldn't finish the play. In the 8th match minute, Nuevo Horizonte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Lucero to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Nuevo Horizonte's Benigno Chago got a free kick in the 9th minute. Niceto Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 10th minute of play. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Niceto Virila made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Leo Rutenio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benigno Chago kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Lapurdi in the 32nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Baldomero Lapurdi made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Eliseo Noboa took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Niceto Virila to make any attempt to save it. Paulino Katia took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nuevo Horizonte were winning 1-3.

In the 51st minute, Lautaro Puig made a precise shot to the right of Niceto Virila. Nuevo Horizonte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Feliberto Ramirez might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliberto Ramirez ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomero Lapurdi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-6 in the 77th playminute. Baldomero Lapurdi kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Feliberto Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Nuevo Horizonte's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
