After having played for 10 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Sven-Arne Tunström took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Daniel Ahlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Arne Tunström in the 30th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Mark Smed had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mark Smed was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Helge Kullander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rickard Göransson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Sven-Arne Tunström let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 39th minute shot 4-0 at rihgt post. After 42 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. 43 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Sven-Arne Tunström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charles Emander kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. A collision led to Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Charles Emander hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Ahlin skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Enström in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Sven-Arne Tunström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Rickard Göransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Rickard Göransson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Tunström in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Sven-Arne Tunström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After 88 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Göransson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johan Engman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
